After being presented different offers in the hotel we decided to book with this company at the recommendation of our receptionist Alex. We were picked up in a brand new minivan and together with 4 others we left for our Transylvania adventure. Soon we realized that we are in for a treat. Our guide Teo was amazing, took great care of us and got us in all the castles where he guided just the 6 of us. We had our own pace and we were never in a hurry. Every detail was checked to perfection and after returning to our hotel, all we can say is Thank you Eastern European Experience. You made this day trip wonderful. We will recommend this tour anytime.

Although still travelling and can't (due to time) put into how much this trip was enjoyed by all members of our party!.... Chris was an exceptional host, from sharing stories straight from his heart about growing up in Romania, to all sorts of interesting and informative commentary!... we asked to take some lunch in a local restaurant to experience the food that Romanians eat, and we sure were pleased! (ps Romanian Rose wine is amazing!). I without a doubt recommend a day or longer with Chris and the Eastern European Experience company! Thank you Chris!

Chris took us to the marvel of Peles Palace in the pretty ski-ing town of Sinaia. The palace rates as one of the most beautiful sites in Europe I have visited. Then on to Bran Castle, a must-do for all Stoker fans, and after a meal in a local restaurant, off to Brasov which appears as a little slice of Germany in the Romanian countryside. The drive through the Carpathians to Transylvania made up half the pleasure of the tour. Crisp blue skies, glittering snow, snow-covered firs - glorious. Chris was supremely knowledgeable and apart from learning some Romanian history, we obtained many nuggets of information about life in Romania. At the end of the tour, we were left with an insight into this country that impressed and intrigued us. And oh yes! the food and wines are wonderful.

As I only had a day and a half in Bucharest I opted for the 7-hour tour to maximise my sightseeing time. I was met at my hotel by Florin, who was very knowledgeable and who spoke excellent English. He drove me around the city, telling me lots about the various sights we were seeing, things I wouldn't necessarily have found in a guide book. The tour included the Palace of the Parliament, the Ceausescu house and the Village Museum (the entrance fees were included.) The beauty of this kind of tour is getting to see parts of Bucharest that would otherwise be passed by, and being able to stop the car and take photos if something takes your fancy. I thought the company has good value for money and I'd definitely recommend it for solo travelers and couples.

We enjoy this tour very much. Because it is private tour we were able to get more out of our tour. Our tour guide Teo were very friendly. His company contacted us at the hotel for pick up time and ease our worry of what to proceed. Teo offered us bottle of water and WIFI hooked up thank you Teo! Teo is very knowledgeble of his country and he imparted his knowledge to us with enthusiasm. Our tour start in the morning to Snagov Monastery and because it is in the morning we have had advantage of peace and quiet and able to enjoy our tour without fighting with crowd of people. Mogosoaia Palace were spectacular with awesome view of surrounding buildings. We definitely recommend this private tour to all. Thank you Eastern European Experience and thank you Teo!!!

What a great tour! Alex knew all about the country's history and up through modern times. He answered all my questions and spoke at length about so many other interesting topics! The time in the car wasn't bad at all. Highly recommend this company and especially the guide, Alex!

Our day with Theo was fantastic! He is an excellent driver with lots of knowledge about the history of Romania. He also appreciated the importance of Vlad/Dracula folklore. The best part of the tour was being first to enter Bran Castle - we got to see it before the crowds and have fantastic photos without others in them. Theo was great with our camera. We were also the only people at Vlad's grave in Snagov - a bit spooky, but well worth it. We were able to spend time in Brasov for a morning coffee. Taking a private tour is great because you can customize the itinerary with your guide.

A fantastic and very packed day. Our guide Teo was knowledgeable and did his very best to accomodate our every need. Since we visited Bran the day before, we had some extra time so Teo took us to Vidraru dam and to Transfagarasan road - fantastic. A climb up tp Poienari fortress takes a bit of effort, but even elderly and our of shape can do it in 45 minutes max. A visit to the monestery on the lake rounded the tour off it was raining and the thunders gave it an extra appeal. I highly recommend this company and this guide.

Very informative, engaging and fun! Stefan was very well informed and he gave us a very informative insight into the history and culture of Romania..he never hurried us through the trip and also extended it for us quite a bit! He ended the tour by reserving us a place at Caru cu bere at a nice little spot..I have also booked the Transylvanian tour via him and I think it would be excellent as well!
