Frequently asked questions by our travelers. Please feel free to send us an e-mail if you cannot find your answer here.
Can we change some of the features of the tour?
Yes. Every tour is tailor made based on your interests. Just tell us what sites are you interested in and we will be glad to design the tour based on your wishes at no extra costs.
Is it possible to have centrally located hotels?
Yes, all of our hotels are located only in the city centre. We have chosen the best locations possible in order to give you maximum flexibility.
Do your tours come with any kind of health insurance?
No. We highly recommend for you to get before the trip starts any kind of insurance that may cover healthcare costs in case of a need.
Are the guide's meals included?
Yes. Your private guide has a meal allowance which can cover all of his meals. The guide will only join you for meals if you ask him too. If you would like to spend some time on your own during meals that is perfectly fine.
Do tours start only from major airports and capital cities or can we also start from a smaller one?
Our tours are fully customizable. As major airports like Bucharest, Sofia, Belgrade, Budapest & Prague have the best connections most of our requests are to start the tours from there. Though if you prefer starting from a smaller airport that has a better connection for you, we are very flexible and and we can start from there. Smaller airports like Sibiu, Cluj, Iasi, Tg Mures, Brno, Plovdiv or Varna they are also in easy reach.
What is the currency at my destination?
Most of the countries in Eastern & Central Europe have their own currencies. Our top recommendation is to always have a credit card as most of the restaurant and shops accept it. Most popular cards are Visa & Mastercard. On the same line, please know that American Express & travelers checks are not popular at all in our part of the world.
Is tipping common?
Yes, in most places, tipping is very common and expected, especially in restaurants.
Also if you consider that your private guide provided you with the exceptional service throughout your trip it is customary to tip in the end of your journey.
What communication facilities will be available?
Most of the hotels where we go, do have complimentary wi-fi. Also more and more local restaurants come with wi-fi. But also, our cars are equipped with complimentary wi-fi. Please do know that the in-car wi-fi is subject to GSM availability and as we will be traveling through some remote villages and areas, sometimes internet will not be available.
Can family or friends reach me in case of need?
Yes, of course they can. Your private guide always has a cell phone that is on and just in case that you cannot be reached they can always call our office which has a 24/7 person on duty.
Will I be able to charge my phone or camera easily?
Yes. All of the hotels come with power outlets which are using a 220V electrical current. We do recommend to take from home a travel adaptor so it will be easy to use on the trip. Also, our vehicles come with their own power supply, generally USB plugs that are easy for you to use whenever you are traveling.
